My children have been cloth diapered from their early weeks or days of life through potty training, and in that time, we have tried dozens of brands of cloth diapers. In an effort to be more enviornmentally responsible, we asked for a few of the Sckoon organic cloth diapers for our daughter for a Christmas gift.
We received three of the diapers, and I immediately noticed the cute, gender neutral prints and how thin/trim they were. Trim is usually good when you're talking about cloth diapers, as you want them to be able to fit under all those cute baby clothes. Unfortunately, with the Sckoon fitted diapers, there simply wasn't enough material there to be very absorbant. Even after several trips through the washer and dryer (which helps prime the cloth diaper and boost absorbancy) they just weren't cutting it for any length of time.
I will still certainly use these diapers at home, when I can change her every hour, but they'll never find their way into my pile of trusty favorites, which is too bad because I loved the idea of organic cotton fibers next to her skin.
