The gang is invited to horror author, Ben Ravencroft's hometown. They find out that the town is now a tourist attraction because of witch legend. A concert with the The Hex Girls is scheduled. Ravencroft tells the story of his decased relative, Sarah Ravencroft, who was shunned for being a witch. He wants to find her grave to find a book buried near her. A ghost witch has been terrorizing the town.

The story is perfect. It is just like the original series in atmosphere and every way. The old New England town is a perfect setting for a spooky tale of witches.

The voice actors are great. Frank Welker only voices Fred and not as Scooby this time. Casey Kasem does not return as Shaggy. Instead, Scott Innes voices Scooby and Shaggy just like Welker and Kasem. The guest star is wonderful! Tim Curry voices Ben Ravencroft.

One fun thing of Ben Ravencroft is that he is a horror author from New England, just like Stephen King. He even looks like him!

The music is good. Billy Ray Cyrus stays true to the original theme. The Hex Girls music is good as well.

The DVD has many extras including, Mystery, Inc. Bios, The Scooby-Doo Dare, Making of Special, Music Video, Trailer, and Sneak Peeks.

If you're a Scooby fan or want to keep kids busy for 70 minutes, this is a good choice. Screen it before allowing young kids to view it.
