Scrabble is a game where you build words onto words. You draw seven wooden tiles from a bag. Each tile has a letter on it and a point value. You make a word from your tiles and you put it on the board where it will earn you the most points. When you're done your opponent gets a chance to build a word on any word that is already out there on the board. For each word you make you earn a certain number of points. There are spots on the board that allow you to double or even triple the value of a word or the value of a letter. Some letters have a better value than others. Higher value letters include the Q, J, X and Z.
There are different versions of Scrabble. They have a deluxe playing board or the regular version. They now have this game for the computer.
I have spent many days playing this game with family and friends. I have fond memories of an aunt who loved playing this game with us. Scrabble is a wonderful game for the family. Ages 8 and on up.
