I bought Sears Kenmore Elite Dishwasher with Turbo Zone three years ago. I recommend this brand highly. This is my first dishwasher. I lived in a mobile home prior to moving to this house so there wasn't much room in that kitchen for a dishwasher. We very seldom wash any dishes by hand. I have not had any repair problems whatsoever in three years. Looks and runs like new even after washing about two loads a day. We wash after the noon lunch and at night. We have children and we put so many bottles into this dishwasher to sterilize them when the children were little babies. I can't say enough how this dishwasher performs for us. It is very quiet too! There are several setting and turbo zone to get the tough stains off. No repairs! My dishwasher has black sides and a stainless steel front. There is on feature I wish it had on this dishwasher but it may have on the newer ones...If you have little ones.....toddlers can open the door and it stops the machine until you close it and push the start button again. Toddlers could get burnt on it too. I remember the older models used to have a latch that you pull across to lock the door just like our ovens now. So please if you are looking for a new dishwasher pick one with a door lock to completely lock the door. This dishwasher has a lock but it locks the controls not the door. Dependability is so important with a big family. I give this machine a 5 star rating. It is also energy efficient. Nice slimline design. Lots of dinnerware and silverware space with added baskets. Stainless steel interior. Buying a dishwasher is a tough decision and a big investment nowadays. Sears Elite with turbo zone was a perfect choice for our household.
