I bought this calculator a few weeks ago, a Senario Model FC-500 12-Digit Calculator for Accountants. It's not bad, but it's not that great either. Here's why. First, while its accounting functions are great, they're very hard to use, and the instruction manual offers little help. You have to use other resources as well as experimenting around to understand how to make use of all of the functions.
Second, its large screen lets you see your digits easily, but its keys offer little resistance, so the calculator often doesn't pick up your pressed numbers. When I pressed in a five, it didn't show it, and then I pressed it again, and it displayed three of the five digits, which proved to be extremely frustrating for me.
Third, its battery life is extremely long, as it has several auto power off features, but it's big and clunky and a little pricey for a normal calculator- 20 dollars, in fact.
Some nice features include a small stand so that you can raise your screen up as well as a nice cover, but that's about it. If you like the extra 12-digits it comes with, the Senario FC-500 is good for you, but if you want to stay simple and normal, buy something else. And one more thing- do not buy thi s calculator for your kids!
