Hair Shampoo Scalp Everpure Condition

I have always had issues with shampoo and other hair products. Mostly it is becuase I am sensitive to sodium laureth sulfate, so I though that I would give L'Oreal - EverPure Moisture Shampoo a try. It was inexpensive at Target and was the only shampoo that I could find there that did not have sodium laureth sulfate in the ingredients. I also purchased the conditioner in the same line and used them both right away.

The first thing that I noticed is that my scalp did feel better. Slowly the irritation I had on my scalp prior to using this product began to leave. This was amazing because it has literally been years since my scalp felt healthy. I really thought that this product was my answer and began telling everyone about it. I even got some for my mom who has the same problem with sodium lauret sulfate that I do.

Unfortunately, my positive reaction did not last long. While my scap healed, this shampoo left a waxy build up that I could not get rid of. No matter how much I scrubbed and rinsed, it just would not go away. I even tried using different conditioner with it but to no avail. It just did not work at all.

I ended up purchasing a cleansing shampoo that got rid of the waxy buildup and greasy hair I had developed. While my scalp again felt itchy, it did not feel dirty. I am still not sure what shampoo will work but I am still on the search for the perfect product. Unfortunatetly, this is not it. I have heard of more expensive brands that are sulfate free and I plan on trying those shampoos. Hopefully one of them will work. At this point, I am willing to pay a higher price if it will help.

I wish that I could recommend this product but I really cannot do that with a clear conscious. I believe it is a good idea but it needs some improvement. It does make hair smell good and did moisturize my hair. It over moisturized my hair, though. For my mom, it dried her hair out, so go figure! If you need a shampoo that is free of sulfates then you might want to give this product a try and see how it works for you. Hopefully you will have a better experience than I did.
