When my oldest son was 2, he just had this fascination for puzzles and trying to put them together. I went out to Walmart one day on a mission: to find puzzles for a 2 year old. They had the usual wooden puzzles with the knobs on them, but he had moved past those quickly. I found some puzzles that said they were for children 3 and older. I purchased a 24 piece Sesame Street "Art School" Puzzle.
This puzzle has Elmo, Big Bird, and Oscar the Grouch on it. These characters are in a classroom setting and all of them are either painting or drawing. This puzzle has a very cute theme to it. It is only 24 pieces and measures 10" by 13" when it is put together. After the puzzle is all put together, you can have the child find the letters in the words "Sesame Street" that are hidden in the picture.
The pieces of this puzzle are very large and because they are made of a very thick cardboard material, this makes them durable enough to hold up for years and years. We have had this puzzle for over 3 years and it is still holding strong.
This is a great educational puzzle that appeals to children from 2 years old to 4 years old.
