This book is written by Nikki Sixx founder and chief song writer of Motley Crue, it is actual excerpts from his diary during the height of his career that begins in December 1986 which also marked the worst year of his life, spending Christmas alone, naked, sitting by the Christmas tree holding a shotgun... so addicted to Cocaine and Heroin it consumed him. What should have been the year he was on top of the world he ended up having to die twice in order to see this is no lifestyle to have. Ian Gittins co-wrote this book and In this book there is amazing graphics/photography, done by P.R. Brown. There is commentary through out the book from family members, band members, friends, managers, ex- girlfriends, I found it to be a must have if you are a Crue fan and even if you're not; a VERY gripping read. The Heroin Diaries has been hailed as one of the most unique memoirs of addiction ever published. Well worth the money. He also put together a soundtrack with band Sixx AM to go along with the book that is amazing.
