When I was growing up, I was required to write thank you notes for the gifts I received or for people who did special things for me. This has been something that has stuck with me over the years. I still write thank you notes often and have tried to teach my children to do the same. I always keep a box or two of pretty notecards around that can be written for any occasion so I never have an excuse to not do it right then and there. When I am out shopping and see something I like, I purchase them.
When I saw the Simply Shabby Chic Tri-Fold Notecard set at Target, I knew it was a set I had to have. The set is very pretty and feminine and includes 10 notecards, which are in 2 different patterns, 10 envelopes and 10 envelope seals. The folds of the cards meet in the center of the card and each side has a different floral or stripped pattern. On each pattern there is a small round circle that is held to the card with a silver metal eyelet. To close the cards, you take the pink string that is attached to one side and wrap it back and forth around each circle to secure it. The envelopes for the set are a pale green color and open on the long end instead of the short end like a standard envelope. The cards are blank inside so they can be used for any occasion.
I love that these cards are not your run of the mill folded in half cards. The tri-fold design and the string closure make them unique. I have only sent out a few of these so far but the people I given them to have commented on how pretty they are. For the price, the set was a great deal and I look forward to sending the rest out whenever the need arises.
