For the longest time, I wanted a Shark Steam Mop. The cost was the only thing that stopped me. Then I saw an ad in the Sunday paper that had it on sale. On top of that, it was PINK! They make them pink for breast cancer awareness, and some portion from the cost goes to breast cancer research. I liked that part!

I bought it, got it in the house and used it right then, and there! It's easy to get started. I attached the micro fiber fluffy mop pad that sticks to the bottom of the steam mop with some ‘pokey' things. It sticks on like Velcro. Then I filled the water reservoir to the maximum fill line, which was easy to do with the included mini-funnel and measuring cup. Plug it in, and I'm ready to mop!

I waited less than a minute for the water to reach the steam stage. The handle pushes into itself to prime and release the water to the mop pad. So away I went! I mopped all of my floors! Honestly, I didn't notice a huge difference in appearance, but wow, when I walked on them with bare feet afterward, the floors felt sooo clean!

The mop pad was super dirty! It was embarrassing to think there was that much ‘yuck' on my floors! The manufacturer recommends hand washing the mop pad, but since it comes with two pads you'll always have one available. They wash up pretty nicely by hand.

I would recommend reading all of the instructions before using (or buying) the Shark Steam Mop, because it isn't recommended for some surfaces. It serves my purpose well, and my floors feel "sanitized" by the steam.
