What could be prettier than red velvet on Christmas Day? That's what I wore to Christmas dinner this year, thanks to Carolyn Strauss. (Actually, it looks exactly like red velvet, but the material is 90% nylon, and 10% spandex.) Several months before Christmas, I did my shopping for holiday wear online. I buy a lot of my clothes on Ebay, and have had great success, and have also found some phenomenal bargains.
This skirt hangs beautifully, with a slight flare at the bottom. It has two sheer chiffon inserts (on each side) in the front and back. The length is approximately 34 inches, and it is very elegant looking. I wore a black turtleneck and a black long jacket with the skirt, with a beautiful Looking Glass Sorrelli necklace, to add to the Christmas glitter.
My husband and I went away to the ocean this Christmas, and he surprised me with dinner in the Marriott Ballroom, about 20 miles from our beach house. We were in a small town, and almost nothing was open on Christmas day, so I was really surprised, when I learned that he had made the reservations for such a nice dinner. There was a band, a buffet, and beautiful decorations.
I looked very festive in my red "velvet" Carolyn Strauss skirt. Just the perfect skirt for Christmas!
