Living in Northern Finland means that I've got to be ready for rough winter weather. The temperature can drop down as low as -25'C here in Sodankylä. That means that I need good winter, outdoor caps that cover my ears whenever I need to be outside for a long time. This woolen cap is made out of Shetland wood and polyester.

There are different sizes and colours of this thing, which is COOL. The best thing about this type of cap is that it covers the ears. In winter, I once walked outside with a woolen cap that didn't cover my ears well when it was cold outside and it was SO painful. With this type of woolen cap, I feel confident about being outside in winter even for a long time.

Of course this type of cap may be too hot when the temperature's only about 0'C, but it's VERY useful when the temperature is below -10'C. At least that's when I start wearing this cap. Other than that, I LOVE the dangling thingies on both sides of the ears since they make the cap look CUTE!

However, I think that men wouldn't want to wear this type of cap. Thus this type of cap is more preferable by women and kids. Another negative thing about this kind of "closed cap" is that if you wear it too long, your hair will definitely lose volume! But hey, it's MUCH better than feeling pain and having frozen ears, right?
