Shoot Em' Up is written and directed by Michael Davis and stars Clive Owen, Paul Giamatti and Monica Bellucci.
This was a wild movie. When I heard Roger Ebert gave it 4 1/2 stars out of five I was surprised. Its about a man with a past named Mr. Smith Clive Owen) who sees a pregnant woman being chased by bad guys. So he plays the hero by delivering the baby, shooting the bad guys and saves the baby all during the shoot out. However, the mother is killed. Mr. Smith ends up on the run with the baby being chased by more bad guys who are being led by Mr. Hertz (Paul Giamatti). Along the way he reunites with a past love/prostitute (Monica Bellucci) and she ends up on the run with them.
If you love action movies you will really like this movie. It is way over the top in the action scenes and stunts. The movie actually makes fun of other outrageous action movies by making this even more outrageous. The people I watched it with were laughing at the craziness of it all. Don't take this one seriously and you will enjoy it more.
This is not a movie for children. This movie is rated R for non stop violence, sexuality and bad language.
