I played this game when it was still a demo and I added it to my list of games to buy, but I didn't think it was worth a full $60. Last years games are always on sale for $20 at Walmart eventually, so when I saw Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution on the clearance rank in October, I didn't hesitate to pick it up as a birthday present to myself.
Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution is a turn-based strategy video game that's very similar to playing Risk or Age of Empires. You begin the game by choosing one of 16 different cultures to play, and the civilization that you choose determines what your own strengths and weaknesses are going to be. You're given a few villagers in prehistoric times to start off with and a fogged map, and you grow your cities and civilization strength through time from there. The object of the game is to become the greatest civilization in the world, whether through Domination, Economics, Technology or a Cultural victory. The games are relatively short and can be completed within a couple of hours, and it's a great family or online multi-player game for the Xbox 360. So far, I've won on 12 of the 16 different cultures and I'm still not tired of playing Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution. Great game.
