The Hurcules AST tent is quite a marvel. It is a two person, four season tent. It is meant for the harshest conditions, and can be used for all on mountain use. Living in Nova Scotia it doesn't see any mountains, but it does see a lot of snow and some pretty cold nights.

It weighs less than 7 pounds, the poles are "Featherlite" brand poles made of light weight aluminium yet extremely durable. The entire tent is waterproof but the fly far exceeds the rest of the tent when it comes to keeping you dry. I have slept in this tent in snow storms, and rain storms both have prooven to be quite pleasurable experiences, waking up as dry as you went to sleep is wonderful.

The material used is extremely tough stuff, the fly is made of a light but strong and waterproof material which wicks water away. The mesh on the doors is all no-see-um mesh so no insects bug you in the summer, and the fly comes off and leaves you with a water resistant very airy material for hot summer nights. The zippers are all self fixing, they are very smooth and dont jam very easily. All the seams are sealed very well, and everything on it is extremely durable.

The tent takes a very short time to set up, I can set it up in about 5-10 minutes by myself (without guylines, ) It's a great tent I would highly recommend it to anyone, although it is a bit pricey if your not into winter camping, a three season tent would do fine. Sierra Designs make great quality tents for all seasons, so they are a company to keep in mind.
