I love pretty accent pieces for my tables. Especially in Spring when a breakfast party or luncheon is planned. The right accent pieces can make a setting memorable for all involved. Some of the prettiest I've found and the most affordable are from Villeroy and Boch, long known for their high end tableware.
My favorite design is My Garden. The pretty 50.3/4 ounce pitcher I bought was a lovely garden green. It was hefty and seated itself firmly on most surfaces. The well designed handle was easy to grasp, and the lip on this pitcher helped minimize spillage thanks to the quality of this piece. What makes this pitcher so versatile though is its ability to coordinate with all the garden designs in the V&B collections. Priced at $29.95, this is such an extraordinary way to begin building your tableware accessories without breaking the budget.
Along with the pitcher, I bought the green salad plates, bowls and glasses to round out my initial garden collection. The whole package at the time I bought them came to about $140.00. This include 4 each champagne flutes, goblets, cake stand, bowls and salad plates. They served me well for years, until I returned one day from a trip and they were gone. Along with some other cherished items, I suppose whoever did this decided they needed them more than I did.
Thankfully, the prices are very similar to what I paid so long ago, so I can recoup the losses over time. If you want classic, simple yet elegant tableware accssories for your outdoor meals, please visit Macy's or other dinnerware outlets to get a better idea of how simple yet lovely these things are.
