I would like to tell you about an office chair I use, although I spend very little time in the office, whenever I do go in there, I immediately jump into this chair. I find it looks attractive, feels good, and the comfort is perfect.
The chair is made by the Staples Company, although it will of course be made for them, but it carries their name. As the chair was issued, I have no idea how much it cost, but I am sure I have seen them in the Staples shop for less than £50. I am sure this is a bargain, as the material is real Leather. The arms are plastic, and of course everything below the base is Steel, with plastic castors. The castors are very good, I did expect them to be letting us down by now, but they still turn freely and do not dig in to the carpet.
The arms look a little on the small side, but I have to admit they are just right, you can rest your elbows on them, but they do not get in the way while typing. The seat is very supportive, and the back rest is a nice angle, offering a bit of support to the small of your back. The chair is adjustable of course, and it is easy to get it into a comfortable position. If I remember correctly, the instructions (Yes it does come with them) refers to the top of the back rest, as an integral headrest, this is just the right height for me, but shorter people may find it too high.
Being real Leather, I suppose I should tell you about the special Leather treatments we apply, with Loving tender care. Unfortunately, this chair gets nothing more than a damp cloth over it once in a while, but shows absolutely no sign of wear. The chair is described as a De-luxe Office chair, but I would say it is a typists chair, with armrests fitted.
The chair is supported on a pedestal, with five castors, as recommended by the Health & Safety Executive. I am sure the level of Lumbar Support is sufficient, and as far as I am concerned, the chair is perfect for working at a desk, or using a PC.
I will of course, be giving this chair my personal recommendation to you all.
