This is the third book of The Demonata trilogy by Darren Shan. Just like the first book of this trilogy, there's a seriously scary warning on the back cover of this book. Those who don't like avid description of gory scenes should avoid this book. Other than that, i'd highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a good dose of adventures, cool magic and other supernatural elements.
The story continues with Dervish Grady coming back from the Demonata universe after defeating Lord Loss, and together with his nephew, Grubbs, both try their best to live a normal and demon-free lives. However, Lord Loss is not one to forget grudges easily, and his revenge may be more terrifying than they can imagine.
In this book, there is a good progress with Grubbs magical abilities, which are really cool. It's really interesting to read the story from Grubbs' point of view as he tried to develop and understand his magical powers. As usual, Darren puts in skillful plot twists that makes me craves for more when I finished reading the book. I just couldn't get enough of it! The story is beautifully narrated, with good character development. I only wish the length of the book could have been longer!
