During a visit out-of-state to my brother- and sister-in-law's home, my husband and I discovered their Select Comfort mattress. They mentioned that they had just purchased it and showed us the features. From that moment, I knew that I had to have a Sleep Number Bed by Select Comfort when we returned home. I made sure to take note of the model number of their bed and we went to the Select Comfort store within days of our arrival back home.
The Select Comfort store was offering special no-interest financing and we were able to get a nicer model than what we were anticipating. The mattress was delivered within days and I assembled the mattress and the foundation. It was simple but required a good bit of floor space for assembly.
As you probably know from the commercials, the bed has two air chambers (the twin has one air chamber). Each person can adjust their air chamber to the desired firmness using a hand-held controller. We though that this would be great. The problem came in when our desired levels of firmness were quite different. This meant that one of us slept significantly higher than the other and that is was perfectly impossible to sleep in the middle of the bed.
Our Sleep Number Bed by Select Comfort is now in the guest room. I know that many people love theirs but it just did not work well for us.
