Info: Smackdown VS Raw 2008 for the PS2 is an interesting game, I have to admit, but it is missing a few things from it's Predecessor, SvR2007. The gameplay is great, all the match types you would expect, Ladder, TLC, Hardcore, Table... etc. Also ECW is featured in the game. ECW brings a few new superstars, arenas, and a match type (Extreme Rules Match.) Extreme Rules is pretty much just an amped up hardcore match, but even better. What disapointed me about the ECW superstars is that there weren't many at all. Sure you've got some ECW Originals, Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu... with the new-comers, Elijah Burke, Marcus Corvon, etc. I personally would've loved to see RVD in the game. :)
Story: Anyway, the story mode? It's called 24/7 mode, not even worth mentioning, but I'll mention it anyway. You see, you pretty much just go through each day of the week, with options to do each day. Such as, autograph signing, interviews, some R&R, and you can invade other shows. (Sweet) But what didn't seem right to me was you could be in a feud with a certain superstar such as Shawn Michaels, and the next thing you know, you're shaking hands with him in the hallway.. strange.. didn't I just get a SuperKick from him?
Graphics: The graphics are OK, except for the crowd, the crowd looks horrible in my opinion, other than that it's fine in the graphics department.
Other Features: The game does feature a CAW mode (Create A Wrestler), and a create a title mode. These features add a little fun to the game, however, it took me a while to learn the ropes of the CAW mode.
Sure, the game is lacking some things, but it's still fun in my opinion. :)
