I hit the bottom of my Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion and knew the time had come for me to buy a new cream. I received a coupon for a free Neutrogena product up to $20.00 in the mail about a week or so ago. I got that rebate because I wrote to them about their Healthy Defense SPF that tended to clump up on my skin (Yuck). So I figured, I would use the coupon to get a Neutrogena item. I knew for sure I didn't want to buy any face care products from them, but I hadn't tried any of their body care items.
While in Rite Aid, I saw a few things, one of them being the Moisture Wrap body lotion. I ended up choosing this big ole tube because I knew I would use it and the other things, while appealing, just weren't as needed as this cream.
Ok! I really like this stuff. First of all, it doesn't smell like plastic or vinyl like the Aveeno lotion. That kind of bothered me and it further irked me when a friend of mine noticed that plasticky smell. Neutrogena, on the other hand, smells light, sweet and a bit cucumber-y. Classy, subdued, natural and feminine. Onto the texture and consistency, it is very creamy and moisturizing, thanks to the "Norweigan Formula." It is greaseless.
In regard to the ingredients, there are a couple good moisturizing agents that I noted: glycerin and hydrogenated lanolin. It is not petrolatum-free, so just noting that for people who don't like petrolatum.
It comes in an 8.5 fl. oz size. I think it should last me a couple of months.
Update On Sep 26, 2009: I finished the tube pictured in the gallery today (So it lasted about a month). I bought another one the other day because I really liked the product and wanted to be ready for when I ran out. I still really recommend this and will probably re-purchase again after I run out of this second tube, unless I feel like changing it up.
