I had an important decision to make: break open a brand new lip balm or continue to use my favorite one. I was afraid that I would run out of my current, preferred product; I was using it at a feverish pace. So I figured, "Why not try something new?" Besides, nothing's wrong with a little change every now and then.
I was able to get the new lip balm for only $0.21 since I participated in "Happy Burt Day, " a giveaway on Burt's Bees site (It was on until June 20th, 2009). The giveaway was in celebration of their 25 years in business. At any time between 9 AM and 12 PM, a form popped up on their site for a coupon for free lip balm. If you got there at just the right time, you were able to snag one.
Fortunately, I was able to. The balm wasn't completely free because I had to pay state sales tax.
When I got my coupon, I originally planned to get one of the Lip Shimmers, but when I got to Rite Aid, I saw that they didn't stock them. I ended up deciding on the Honey Lip Balm, and I am really glad I did. It truly smells like honey: sweet, warm, aromatic. The balm goes on smoothly and stays on. It feels like it grips onto my lips. It is very moisturizing and feels protective. It is untinted and unsweetened. I would definitely re-purchase this.
The tube is .15 oz / 4.25 g. The ingredients are: beeswax, sunflower oil, coconut oil, lanolin, comfrey root, fragrance, tocopheryl acetate and tocopherol, honey, and rosemary leaf oil.
