Ooh! Now this is a lipstick that I recommend. It glides on so effortlessly and feels like it blankets my lips in moisture. When I look at the lipstick in the tube, I can see all these finely milled shimmery particles. These are actually called light-maximizing pigments. You can really see the sheen they create when the lipstick is on the lips. I see it on my lower lip in particular.
This shade is a reddish, coppery brown. I think when I buy another lipstick from this collection, I will try it in a different color. This looks good, but I think it's a bit too dark for my pale skin, especially for daytime.
The lipstick is touted as long lasting, and I agree. I applied it at 6:43 PM, and it's still on my lips at 9:15 PM. I drank water during this time and ate a granola bar. The lip color looks a little less deep and intense than when I first put it on. I like the faded color more. It suits me better. This doesn't act like the typical long wear lipstick since it isn't drying at all. Even a couple hours later, after drinking and eating, there is still a hydrating coat of lipstick on my lips.
I found this Color Fever lipstick to be way less fragrant than another Lancome lipstick I have. The other lipstick I have is from their Le Rouge Absolu line. The Le Rouge Absolu lipstick has a fragrance that I don't like, so I was glad that this Color Fever lipstick was much less fragranced. I noticed a subtle scent when I sniffed it in the tube, but it was NOTHING compared to the other Lancome lipstick which was overpowering. When I am wearing this Wicked Brown lip color, there's absolutely no smell whatsoever.
