I normally hate wearing sunscreen because most sunscreens leave my face looking and feeling oily or greasy. A number of sunscreens I've tried have also made me break out and have clogged pores. Amazingly, Sofina sunscreen has done neither. It has a wonderfully smooth, milky texture and I like that it is fragrance-free, unlike Shiseido sunscreens (which are often compared to Sofina sunscreens), which smell too perfumey for my taste. This sunscreen also stays on all day and is waterproof, but the great thing is that you can't even feel it on your skin after the first few seconds of putting it on! It is a little pricey, I bought mine online for $30, but it does last me at least a few months so I think it is worth it. Japanese sunscreens are rated with the +++ signs, so all I know about the PPD rating for the sunscreen is that it is higher than 8. This is probably the biggest flaw, but all Japanese sunscreens are rated on this system. I've used this sunscreen before on sunny hot California summer days though and have yet to be burned or freckled, so as far as I can tell, it works great!
