I tried these because I had great coupons that made them nearly free. Let me say that I was not impressed enough by them to spend the money on them in the future. As far as the soap goes, it was good. Had a nice smell, creamy texture and I'm sure cleaned quite well enough. Truthfully, I didn't notice a huge difference from the regular Softsoap pumps that you can buy for around a dollar at most dollar stores. For the price, I'd just assume buy 2 or 3 more soaps for the same price.
The bottle is designed to keep the pump and replace the base. If this is meant to reduce waste then I guess it's a good idea except there is only one tiny piece of plastic that you reuse and the new bases that you buy have a plastic ring on top that you have to remove and throw away before using anyway which defeats the purpose in my opinion. I am a recycler so I rinse out the base before placing it in the recycle bin but the inside mechanisms make this a little difficult. The biggest complaint that I have about the bottle is the pump itself though. The top piece always falls off and you have to fiddle with it to get it back in the right place so that it will pump the soap. It's pretty annoying when you have wet dirty hands and just need some soap quick.
The soap itself is great, but the added price and flimsy pump have made me switch back to the less expensive bottles.
