Lately I have become interested in the solar lights that one puts in their garden and walkways. I purchased this one because I really liked the idea of a butterfly that changes into three different colors. Solar power is a big attraction to me as well. There is a led light in these so it should last for sometime without a problem. These were supposed to cost ten dollars each but they were closing them out at my local True Value hardware store at two for the price of one so we will see if they were worth buying or not. I just purchased them this weekend and the most I can say so far is that yes they work and they are very pretty in the dark. They come in butterfly, hummingbird and dragonfly forms as far as what I could see there. I chose the butterfly because i was not really interested in the dragonfly and they were out of the hummingbird ones that really looked the best to me. Things like this are usually a gamble as far as I am concerned but at two for the price of one they had me. These go on by themselves at dark or dusk. There are two types of these even though they had the same serial numbers on the box. One had a switch at the bottom that you had to turn on. If not it won't work. The other you had to go inside and pull out a paper strip so the battery will come into contact in order to work. It did not reference that in the instructions that I saw. At any rate these should be interesting and pretty to look at outside at night., something to fleece up the yard a bit. I will revisit these in an update to advise how they are working out or not. A very nice ornament for the home and yard at this point in time.
