I recently started buying solar powered lights for around the house and garden areas. I had tried one that I had purchased from home depot but it was not really very powerful at all. I recently found this package of two at the local True Value store and it even has two power settings on it. You use the lowest one to make it last for a longer period of time if you wish. The 7.5 lumens setting is the brightest and will last about 6 hours. The lower setting will make it last about 10 hours or so. I found the lower setting plenty bright enough much more so than the hampton bay product that I had purchased from home depot. The overall quality of these ones appears to be a much better make as well. Now bear in mind that the package of two cost 24.00 dollars whereas one at home depot cost about 4 dollars and so it was much cheaper but so was the overall performance. These ones at least so far are pretty terrific. I am going to keep them on the 10 hour setting too, because there is no sense in having them go off at say 2 am when there is still more than 4 hours of darkness left. 6 am is a much better time to have them go off as far as I am concerned. I may buy a couple more of these. I really like them quite a bit. I find myself wondering though how long these will last as I really have no frame of reference to go on. This is the first time I have owned a solar powered product like this. The course of time will determine this. A very nice product indeed as far as I am concerned.
