I have been using Degree Women's Shower Clean scented deodorant for many years. But my biggest pet peeve with this deodorant is that whether I get the "Little Black Dress Approved" or this invisible solid, I always have to be very careful when wearing dark clothing. I have yet to see this deodorant NOT make a white mark on my clothes. I don't think I can be the only one out there who has experienced this.
When you watch their commercials for this style or the one that's "safe" or dares you to go ahead and wear that black dress, I have to put the dress or top on first and then put on the deodorant. I have tried putting it on first but it always gets on the outside of the clothes, when I have to put something on over my head and it happens no matter how careful I am. So in this category on the review, I give it a 2. Because even though I can't see it on my skin, I surely CAN see it on my clothing.
But I love the Shower Clean scent and it's always been my favorite. I like the smoothness of the deodorant solid and the ease of raising up more deodorant by screwing the knob at the bottom of the container.
I do not, nor have I ever had any skin reactions to any of the Degree deodorants, which I am thankful for.
Wetness Protection: This deodorant definitely works for me in the area of keeping me dry. I have never had a "sweating" problem when wearing Degree, so it gets a rating of 5 in Effectiveness for me. It also controls odor, as a matter of fact, I can't recall ever having an odor issue with this deodorant.
So even though the invisibility factor doesn't get a high rating from me, wetness and odor protection do get high marks. This truly is my favorite scent and brand of deodorant.
Update On Mar 12, 2010: Regardless of the issues I had with this deodorant leaving white marks on some clothes, it's still my favorite. I just need to make sure and get the "black dress approved" one, even though it's a bit more expensive.
