After my cats ruined my favorite Peir 1 kitchen table, I looked high and low for a quality wood filler that would stand up to the feline rigors of unavoidable scratching. After perusing the many products at home depot I settled on this one not knowing the outcome. What initially caught my eye was that it is sandable and stainable, so after waiting for the short dry period you can sand smooth and stain the piece as if it were real wood. Quite an attractive bargaining chip for those do -it-yourselfers. Its suitable for both interior and exterior use which means goodbye to those scratches and dents in your adirondak chairs! The only tool requirements with this product is a putty knife so you can press and basically spackle the filler in place and it has absolutly no odor which in a small apartment is a huge turn on! The only part that left me blundering was the application, they make it sound much easier than it really is. Negotiating a glopy, yet not sticky substance with the consistancy of beach sand into small little cracks can be quite a challenge. Yet once complete, drying takes little time and the result is flawless. Sand to touch up your finished product and then stain. Once of the more quality stainable wood fillers on the market.
