I've always had extremely dark circle under my eyes. Doesn't matter how much sleep I get, what I eat or anything else the so-called beauty experts suggest. Several years ago I tried Bobbi Brown concealer, and it worked better than anything else I had tried. But at $36 a pop, combined with only one store (not close) in my town carrying it, it was a luxury I tried to rationalize. Now, I've found a replacement that's a whole lot cheaper and just as good, if not better.
Sonia Kashuk, a make-up artist of some acclaim, now sells a great product line at Target. It is, of course, the trendy store for we discount shoppers who shun Wal-Mart. Kashuk's Concealer Palette contains a wonderful Bobbi Brown-like yellow based cream that really makes a difference on my dark under-eye circles. It's heavy enough to provide some real coverage, yet doesn't look like theater make-up. The Palette also contains an ivory concealer to use on top of the yellow one. To even out your skin tone, there's a shade darker concealer, and there's a small amount of pressed powder to use on top of the concealer.
It's great, and it's cheap. The only reason I don't give it a perfect review is because I use up the yellow and ivory concealer long before I finish the other two products in the palette. Wish I could buy each component separately, but I haven't see that. Still, I get about four of these for one Bobbi Brown. Not bad at all.
