These Sony discs say they're only for use in computer CD-R drives. Others have said negative things about these discs but they have served me well for years. I get burn errors about one per every dozen discs, which is a great improvement over my Memorex media that gets three times more errors than these.

These discs burn at speeds of up to 48x speed. This is a good speed for CDs and it takes about three minutes per disc to burn. None of my burners go faster than 48x, so these discs meet my burner's full 48x speed. I notice more burn errors at speeds above 32x but not too bad.

These are silver discs that you can label with markers. Use these discs to make your own movies (up to 4.7 GB, 120 minutes video) or back up your computer data.

These are higher quality CD-Rs but not the best grade. They are certainly better than Memorex or TDK.

Don't believe everything positive or negative you hear about DVD burners and media because everyone has a different brand of computer and equipment setup. If you read reviews everywhere, you'll see some say "X" media is the best or worst ever. It's very subjective. My advice is to try a few types of media, which meet your computer equipment specifications, and see what works and what does not.

All I can tell you is that this media works with mY Sony PC. Maybe it works better for me because Sony produced both of these products and their discs work best with their equipment.
