One thing they we got at Christmas was a Sony Bravia television. It is a forty inch flat panel LCD TV. It is a 16:9 1080p HD resolution panel (1920 pixels horizontal x 1080 pixels vertical). It is encased in a black frame and on a small black stand. It comes with a remote with batteries.

Its about 40 x 25 inches and weighs about 30 pounds.

It has ambient sensor and light sensor technologies so it can automatically adjust the color and backlight based on a room's lighting which I like.

My old tv is so old it can not even be used with a dvd player. I like this television. The Sony Bravia picture is clear and the color is very nice. This tv is big but thin so it does not take up to much room. It's important when buying these kinds of TV to research the subject because once you get into bigger screens you need to be further back so the picture is sharpest. If you get close to this tv it gets grainy but sitting 6 feet back the picture is wonderful. I will also say as with most tvs you want to put this where light does not hit the screen as it can make it difficult to view. Overall, I am very pleased ith it. Something tells me I may never want to watch one of the smaller tvs ever again.

This TV came from WalMart.
