The Sony Ericsson C903 is an excellent phone. For people like me who know a bit about phones but aren't technical experts, the phone does its job and looks classy. It has a sleek, slimline black casing, a large screen and a 5 megapixel cybershot camera. The camera especially works very well and offers extras like movie mode, inverse and colour change as well as veiwing photos in slide show. The phone has a good layout and is easy to navigate. Two issues that have crossed my path is the phones durability and keyboard. The keys are rather small and pressing one button can lead to 2 or 3 numbers coming up. The durability is also questionable, I expect most phones should be able to withstand day to day hardships of being in a bag or purse, this phone however, the speaker goes in and out of mute by itself and the screen can damage easily with the slightest of hits.
The software on the phone is good, with an easy to manage menu, good layout and all the basics. For the gamers, the phone has the default games of Bubble Town, Crosspix, Soccer, Treasure Tower and Midnight Bowls, all of which are very addictive! The phone also has a pretty good media player and through bluetooth you can tranfers songs, pictures and videos from your computer. A USB cable to do transfers will cost you around AUS$25, but a bluetooth setup with your computer does the job fine. Internet access is as standard and downloads are very quick and easy. The inbox has a feature called 'conversations' which allows an instant messaging type screen to veiw all text messages between you and one other, which I find extremely helpful (I always seem to forget what I have written!). There is a Facebook APP which when left on shows you immediate status updates and allows for chat and messaging. Other exciting features is google maps, navigation app, Tracker (A GPS sport based APP) and TrackID.
Overall this phone is cheap and reliable, a basic setup with no fancy gadgets and no high price ranges and would be ideal for the average joe who wants to look a bit sleek.
