I bought this phone 1 year ago. As I love to use new gadgets and phones, I was going through all the new entries and came along this stunning looking phone from Sony Ericsson. Look wise it is great. I know many great looking phones are out there at the moment but at that time it was a good competitor.

This phone is on the heavier side, even though some might consider it to be not as heavy, weighing at 96g. The display is fairly good with 16M colors and 240x320 pixels with 2.2 inch TFT screen. The clear display makes images look bright and sharp. I love taking photos on the go and especially with the phone as I don’t carry a camera with me all the time. This phone has a 3.15 MP camera at the back which clicks decent pictures but not as good as other phones that are launched recently, which have more than 5MP resolution cameras. There has been many times when I was lost in the city and I wished I had a map to help me out. I had to ask people or use Google Map through my phone but that was not very effective and so not having a GPS in this phone is a real downside for me. There are many other issues that I encountered using this phone.

Although this phone supports video calling, the absence of a front camera was a real downside for me. During the first few months of usage the phone was working in peak performance but then suddenly the problems started one by one. The headset that is provided with the phone is not up to the mark. It could have been of better quality. I had to purchase a separate headset to enjoy the music. If you are a music lover and want to enjoy the music I guess then you must get a separate headset for the Sony Ericsson T715. I had some issues with the phone’s software as well. I was not able to read any messages or send any MMS. I went to the service center and they had to reinstall the software for me again. As a result I had lost all my messages and contacts. It seems that there are some glitches in the software which the manufacturers must correct.

Sony Ericsson made a great effort to create this phone’s looks. But they could have a little bit more and add some of the missing features, GPS, front camera, good audio playback, speakers, etc.

Overall, I would suggest you to avoid buying this phone as there are many better phones available in the market, in this price range and with better features than this. But if you are someone with some spare cash and want to buy new phones as soon as they hit the shelves then you can go ahead and buy this phone.
