I bought my walkman phone about 7 months ago from AT&T directly. After renewing my contract, I paid about $100 out of pocket.
The picture quality is significantly better than any cell phone I have ever used before. However, even though it DOES have a 2 megapixel camera, it's definitely not going to compete with an actual camera. I guess it's entirely possible that I could take a picture of something holding still in really good light and be happy enough with the result to print it, but it hasn't happened yet.
Reception seems to be comparable to anything else I've had. When I've been around people with iPhones and other cell phones, my reception seems to be no better or worse than what they get. Sound quality is good, significantly better than the samsung phones I've tried.
Battery life and talk time have been very good and I am really satisfied with that.
I've had a lot of fun creating my own ring tones and then adding them to my phone. Doing a few simple internet searches, I have found some really fun "themes" that I could download and add to my phone for free. I have had a lot of fun with that too.
I love having music available to listen to easily. The headphones that came with the phone aren't very good. It's irritating that I have to use a special adaptor to fit them, or use Sony headphones though. Big con for me.
The other big con may seem like a lame one. I would expect that when I slide the phone shut, it automatically would lock it. Not so. The phone has to not be engaged in any other screen than the main screen, or it is not locked. Calls could be accidentally made, or you could connect to the internet, and not know it.
There's also a button on the front to connect to the internet. Maybe there's a way to disable it, but I haven't figured out how yet. In the time i've owned it, I've accrued about $25 in internet charges that I shouldn't have because of the non-locking slide and the internet button feature.
