One day while I was surfing the Sony Style homepage, I came across this featured product which was on display and on sale for just under $20.00.

I was curious to find out more, so i navigated to the product details. The first thing I saw was that the design of this model is sleek and new. Then I spotted the specifications which surprised me. This 1GB MicroVault USB drive is capable of compressing files 300% smaller. And what's even more surprising is that the software is all included; everything comes ready-to-be-used, there are no complex buttons or instructions and it's all wrapped up nicely together in a low cost.

I thought: Why not, give this product a try, so I added the Sony USM1GJ item to my cart, purchased it, and checked out. After a few weeks of waiting time, I finally received the product delivered to me.

First thing I did was open the packaging, and what do you know:

-No hard instruction manuals

-No assembling required

-No cache

-Great product

It was easy to use and I still use this today for smaller file transporting or storing. I think what makes this USB stick unique is the retractable plug which really adds some sleekness to the design.

The compression software is said to be able to compress up to 300% smaller size than the original so I find it really interesting.

Compatibility works great, on all operation systems from Windows XP and/or below. I haven't tested this on Vista yet, but I'm pretty sure it can work on there too.

This product comes in different file capacities. The one I own is the 1GB one, which is enough for the average user. If you want to store more files on it, then you can buy the 8GB one which supplies plenty of space.

The actual flash drive is almost miniature, it's longer than wide but you can easily carry it around in your pocket for portable use.

The function is really fun to use - Drag n' Drop files from your computer onto the removable drive in a click of a button, and it's USB 2.0, so the speed is increased slightly.

One extra thing I found amusing was the slider for retracting the USB head plug. It worked smoothly without bumps or grinds and it even has a small blinking LED so you'll know if the flash drive is working or not.

This is a really good product, you can find it in the Sony Style store or even in your major retailer stores.
