I bought sony vaio laptop three months ago. The reason behind of buying this product simply because i need a fast, reliable and up-to-date laptop for supporting my job as a banker and writter. As a banker, i need a laptop which could process and calculate some of numerical data and graphics in a short of time. While as a writter, i need a laptop which could save so many data, browse the web easily, and easy-to-carry means that it should not exceed 2 kg of weight.
Now the question is, does this stuff could really accomodate my needs? well, so far it does. Start from its elegance look (for your info, it color is black and silver inside - you can see the picture), its weight which is not more than 1.9 kg, and it features which so much supporting my mobile activity such as wi-fi, bluetooth, modem, and dvd rw as the optical drive. And these are the good news: intel core 2 duo 1.7Ghz combined with 2GB of RAM and NVIDIA Graphics Card has made me so amazed of its speed, reliability and graphical ability.
Well, that are the pluses, since the minuses are exist as well of course i have to tell you. Firstly, its operating system which is Microsoft Windows Vista. In fact, this O/S is not as reliable as it has beed advertised. It should be updated almost everyday, or it will crash and ruin your work in the time that you just simply can't predit if you don't keep it updated. Secondly, its battery life will be only 2 hrs if you choose the best mode for speed and graphics (of course its too short if you compare with apple macbook). Thirdly, this laptop is to easy to be heat up. I don't know the reason behind it, but you can feel that when you use it'll be reaching the high temperature soon. Lastly, it makes sounds like "whzzz....." when its temperature become high, and"crrk...crrk.." when you set its mode in to full speed and graphic.
So overall, it is good in performance, but not really good in its way to deliver that performance
