Sometimes when I'm fixing dinner, I like to light a few scented candles and put on some soothing music. The whole atmosphere seems to change, and instead of feeling tired and hurried, I feel peaceful. One of the CDs that helps me feel that way is LifeScapes Solo Classical Piano. Pianist Timothy Lovelace plays many of the classics such as, "Claire de Lune" and "Aria" by composers such as Beethoven, Chopin, Brahms, Debussy, Mozart, Bach, and many others.
There is something so relaxing about classical piano music, and this CD is one of the best I've heard. It doesn't have those wild "bumble-bee" orchestrations that make you feel nervous and jumpy. This is just calming, almost tranquilizing melodies, that bring such peace at the end of a hard day.
It's over 60 minutes of music that just washes over you, and refreshes. I often use it when I've made a nice dinner for my husband, and I want to set a romantic mood. (Yes, by now you know how romantic I am.) He loves it also, and when my daughter was over for dinner one night, she couldn't wait to find out what CD was playing. She's 20, but she loves all kinds of music, and enjoys playing piano as well. I think I'll get this as a surprise gift for her one day soon.
Anyone would enjoy this beautiful CD, and it would make an excellent present for any music lover.
