I had the factory radio that came in my Jeep Wrangler, and I knew I had to get it replaced. I found this at Circuit City, and it was on sale a few months ago. I listened to it in their store, and it sounded great.
I knew I wanted something that could play MP3's and my Ipod. This was it. It was very easy to install. I was just replacing the old system with the new system, so I did not have to add anything. Once I got the radio mount in the dash, it just slid in. Easy...
The controls of this were what was important to me. It takes too long to burn MP3's to cd anymore (what kind of people have we become? lol) So, I knew I wanted something that was MP3 capable. I found that this was the one. There is a USB jack right on the front of the faceplate. What a fantastic idea. Not only can you plug your Ipod directly in, you can also put in a thumbdrive, and it will read the folders, and the music that you have on it. It provides artist, and song name (or however y ou have them in your folders)
This also has a small remote, which I only use if im traveling, and need to skip a song, or turn it up!! It works well, but if your driving, its hard to see.
Since I have this in my Wrangler, another feature I was looking for is a removable faceplate, and this has it. It deters theives (hopefully) from breaking in to steal the radio. With no faceplate, hopefully theives will stay away. Its easy to remove, and put back in.
This has a couple color choices, which is nice to change if you are having a hard time seeing it due to sun, or night time. Gives you a choice for viewing.
The sound is awesome. I can crank it up, and there is no distortion on my speakers. It sounds really good.
Heres the particulars for those that want the specs.
1 Aux Input
Comes with Remote
Charges your Ipod, when plugged in!!!
If your in the market for a new stereo, at least take a listen to this one, it's a nice radio, with some great features!
