This is the third "Spiderman" installment, maybe the last? I wouldn't count on it.
Everyone is back in place again, for Spiderman 3. Tobey Maguire still looks like Peter, actually everyone looks the same. It's nice when time can stand still to continue a blockbuster.
We get to meet Thomas Haden Church's new character, "Sandman. The special effects for Sandman, are nothing short of cool.
We also get to meet Topher Grace, playing his usual self, as he goes after Peter's secured position as a freelance photographer, at the paper.
There are more than a few plot twists. We get to see Peter take Mary Jane Watson for granted, then watch Mary Jane rekindle an old romance.
The special effects are great, the sound should be heard on a good theater sound system. Everyone is in charactor and it is as believable as Spiderman, himself.
Sam Raimi, who directed the first two Spiderman installments, is right at home, doing what he does best, making a killer follow up to the previous two.
As usual, with a bigger than life film as this, some fans expected so much more in Spiderman 3. It does become difficult, to keep topping yourself.
As a note, Spiderman 3 holds the record for, grand opening - 151 million dollars, box office reciepts, the first weekend. A few million movie goers loved the movie.
If your like me and have Spiderman 1 and 2, the third one will not let you down. It is a good, rip of a DVD, to add to the set. Special features are commentaries by cast and crew, along with some good bloppers.
