I have been a fan of the Simpsons since they first appeared many, many years ago. I love all the characters and feel they have just gotten better with time. So when the Simpsons Movie came out at the theater, my family and I had to go see it. And, of course, we bought it when it came out on DVD.

In the movie, Homer aquires a pig which he becomes very attached to. Unfortunately, the pig produces a lot of waste product that Homer must dispose of. Being Homer, he dumps it in the local lake which causes all sort of ecological problems. Springfield is eventually placed under a glass dome and the Simpsons become the most hated family in town.

Thanks to baby Maggie, the family discovers a way out of the town and makes a new life elsewhere. They eventually decide they need to return to Springfield. The movie is full of the usual Simpson comedy and Homer eventually saves the town in typical Homer fashion.

If you are a fan of the Simpsons or not, I recommend this movie. It is funny and entertaining and I think most people would really enjoy it.
