My husband was advised by his doctor to take aspirin regularly to prevent blood clots and heart attacks. My husband likes to take St. Joseph Chewable Aspirin for this purpose. He has a hard time swallowing pills, so the chewable feature of St. Joseph makes it very simple for him to get his aspirin a day.
We usually get the 81 mg strength. I have also used it on occasion for relief of pain, such as muscle aches or headaches. I find it to be effective in helping me. I don't like taking medication as a rule, but I don't mind taking St. Joseph Chewable Aspirin.
I myself don't especially like the orange flavor of these aspirin, but my husband has no problem with it. The 81 mg dose is the dose recommended by doctors. It is an adult low strength aspirin regimen. My husband really sticks to this regimen, and I'm thinking maybe I should as well.
I would recommend St. Joseph Chewable Aspirin for relief of pain, and also as a blood thinner to help prevent blood clots, heart attacks and strokes. Of course, you should always check with your doctor before taking any medication to make certain there are no reasons that particular medication would not be good for you.
