I have a part time job that allows me to work from home. Some of the items I work with are of a sensitive nature so I needed to get a shredder to dispose of them. I looked around Staples.com and found their brand of 10 Page Cross Cut Shredder. It was 79.99 and ordering online got it to me the very next day.

It is a big shredder. The bin to hold the shredded items is very large. I got my shredder at the end of August and now 2 months later it is just getting to the top where it needs to be emptied. I would say I shred maybe 10-15 items per week, everything from single sheets to envelopes of several papers.

This shredder can handle up to 10 sheets together at a time. There is a large slot for paper and once you turn the machine on you just slide the sheets in. They will get grabbed and you will hear the machine shredding them up. You can also shred credit cards in this same slot. This is a great feature as credit or identity theft is not something you want to mess around with. The other feature I like is that there is a seperate slot for shredding CDs or Discs. This can be great if you need to dispose of a disc that has personal or financial data on it.

There is an on/off button that lights up on the top of the shredder. There is also a button labeled "overheat" that will light if the machine starts to overheat. The top can not be removed until the handle is moved to an upright position. This is a nice safety feature. A shredder can be quite dangerous to children so be sure to store it in a safe place or leave it unplugged when not in use.

I have not had an ounce of trouble with this shredder and for a home or small business type use I would highly recommend this brand.
