2 weeks before my wedding, in October of 2006, central Ohio was hit with a very large storm. We were not at home at the time, but we were only about 3 miles away. When we returned home, we noticed that our house was hit HARD with hail damage. The entire back side of our house looked as if it had been hit with an automatic rifle. We immediately called State Farm and told them what had happened. They had advised that they had just begun receiving claims for our area, so they'll get working on them as quickly as possible. It turned out that we needed a new roof, new gutters, new siding, and new windows. State Farm works with certain service providers, and take their word for the amount of damage needing fixed. They sent us adjustment worksheets and our reimbursement checks within a month, no questions asked! All we needed to do was submit a claim, and they took care of the rest. With their help, we were the first house on the street that was fixed- just before winter came. Their customer service was EXCELLENT, and the resonse time in getting us the checks was faster than I thought it would be (within a few weeks!). They were definately on our side, and didn't give us a fight at all.
