Sometimes I am particularly sensitive to dry air conditions. This is particularly true when I return from a long trip to my home country which is very humid. After such a trip, I find my QuickSteam humidifier very useful in helping me re-acclimate to drier conditions.
The QuickSteam is easy to operate, the tank disconnects from the base so it can easily be carried to the sink or other water source.
The HWM450 QuickSteam has digital readout making it easy to set the desired humidity level. It has three output moisture levels. The unit will stop humidifying when the target level is reached, but it will retain the settings until the unit is turned off. There is a timer which will allow you to set it to run for a period of time up to 18 hours.
There is a refill indicator light which tells you when more water is required. After adding water to the tank, you replace it on the unit, press the Reset button, and it will continue to operate with the previous settings.
There is a removable water tray which facilitates cleaning both of itself and the heating element plate underneath it. The water tray is cleaned with white vinegar and the heating plate is cleaned with a stiff brush. My heating plate has some discoloring on it, but this is supposed to be normal and does not interfere with the operation of the unit and is not visible when humidifying.
The HWM450 QuickSteam has a 3 year limited warranty. It also has a well written manual in English, French, and Spanish.
I am very happy with my HWM450 QuickSteam Warm Moisture Humidifier.
