When my daughter needed to replace her back door we headed for Menard's and found the Mastercraft Steel Exterior Door.

She was limited on the style of door she could buy because the original door was only 30" wide, where the average door is usually 36" wide. This door was available in that size with the actual measurements of 29 13/16" x 79". This door had three options; it could be a solid door or a door with a 20" x 36" window with or without panes. She opted for the window without panes. She also ordered the door only, without the frame, to save a little on the cost. If your not an experienced do-it-yourselfer you may not want to purchase the door without the frame, because you need to drill the holes for the locksets yourself and position the hinges in the right place. This can be a little tricky. Getting the door with the frame only involves getting the door in the door opening level, shimmed and screwed in.

The door is steel on the front and back with 2 embossed panels on the bottom and would have 4 panels if the window were not chosen. The inside core of the door is Styrofoam for energy efficiency. This door is ENERGY STAR approved. The outside and inside are pre-primered, so it's ready to be painted any color you choose.

The door looks very nice and seems to be very solid in construction. I would recommend this door to someone looking for a well constructed door for a good price!
