Stila makes three beautiful eye shadow trios for summer fun and fashion. They are Mazatlan, Acapulco, and my favorite, Vallarta. Collectively, they are the Summer Trios. They come in a round case, with a dark color at the center, a midrange color as a ring around that, and the lightest shade around that. They are powder shadows that wear well with minimal creasing.
Stila describes these trios as "festive, " they sparkle with warmth on your skin, and the complement sun-bleached sand and deep blue waters. I'm actually feeling warmer just thinking about them. Seriously, not only are the colors lovely, but so are the designs pressed into them, an Aztec-like pattern that makes you almost hate to use them.
I like duos and trios, because they take the guesswork out of choosing shades that go together. Vallarta by Stila has a deep bronze center, surrounded by a pinkish-brown, encircled by a peachy-pink like summer sand. The outer one looks great as a base from lash line to brow, or as a highlighter; the medium from lash to crease, or in the crease for accent. The center color makes a wonderful liner shadow, or for night wear, in the crease if the medium shade is used from lash to crease. They make an unforgettable summer eye, or to warm up the long cold nights of winter.
