Hummel collectibles can be found in most fine gift shops. I know many people who collect all that they can and spend a lot of money doing so. I think they're cute, but have never been interested in collecting them.
I received my Stormy Weather figurine as a gift from someone who had visited Germany, where they are manufactured. This seems to be one of the more popular of their styles as I'd seen it many times before I received this one.
The figurine is of a little girl and boy, standing together underneath a large blue umbrella. She's got pigtails with bows and is wearing a cute little dress. The boy is wearing shorts with suspenders and a scarf around his neck that appears to be blowing in the wind. The colors are very pretty.
This statue is 4.75" tall. It is handcrafted of fine bisque and is handpainted. It was created by M.I. Goebel Hummel.
Hummel figurines remind me of the Precious Moments collectibles. They don't look alike, but have the same appealing style.
