My wife was looking for something special to do for my son on every birthday. I found my first Epson StoryTeller at Staples and bought it. I thought it would be something special and it was!
What Epson StoryTeller allows you to do, is to edit a photo book, in our case a 5x7 book, and it includes the software, paper and book and glossy cover to capture it all.
So my sons second birthday we went looking for a book again, and found that Epson isn't selling the full box set of the 5x7s anymore. But you can still find them all over the net. We bought our second from Amazon.com for a nice price.
The software that is included is excellent. (Epson does a have a update, so check out their site). All you do is import your pictures into the software program. You then creat the book page by page. The 5x7 comes with 10 pages, so you get to add pictures and captions to these as you like. You can choose from 18 book covers and 60 page layouts. Whats nice about this software is that you can drop in up to 20 pictures into the 5x7 edition and put your own captions in there.
Printing is pretty straight forward, the hardest part being the cover since it is so long. But if you read the directions, its simple.
Putting the book together is simple...you insert your printed paged into the hard voer book with the sticky papers they add. You just slap them on the book and on the back of your pages and your good to go. The cover slides into the plastic cover protector.
Included are 2 extra pages to practice on, and 1 extra cover to practice on, to make sure everything is good! The cover is high quality also! We plan on doing this for every birthday from now on! They also offer this kit in the 8x10 or larger formats!!!
