Fans of fast-paced action games will absolutely love John Woo's Stranglehold. While it may not be the deepest experience - far from it, actually - it's an absolutely blast to play. It takes the slow motion diving that Max Payne pioneered and nearly perfects it. Too bad it doesn't have the Max Payne's amazing story and narrative.
Stranglehold is actually a sequel to the John Woo film Hard Boiled. Chow Yun-Fat reprises his role as Inspector Tequilla, who you'll be controlling as he treks around the world, a pistol in each hand and bullets flying.
The game boasts some pretty nice graphics, although far from the best the system has to offer. It has its own unique style, though, which really shines when you're using Tequilla's various special movies.
If you liked the gunplay in Max Payne and simply want more of it, Stranglehold is worth checking out.
